This Privacy Policy explains how Sabo Automotive Repair Inc. (“Sabo,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you visit saboauto.com, book an appointment, or bring your vehicle to our shop at 1259 McDonald Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11230.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us when you call, visit, email, text, or book an appointment:

• Your name, phone number, email address and mailing address
• Vehicle details such as make, model, year, VIN, license plate and mileage
• Service history, the problems you describe, estimates, approvals and invoices
• Payment information, which is processed at the time of payment by our payment providers

Information from our website. Our website does not have forms, accounts or sign-ups, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Like most websites, our hosting provider (GoDaddy) keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages visited, for security and to keep the site running. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and a video from LIQUI MOLY’s servers, so those companies may receive your IP address when you view the site.

2. Online booking

Our “Book a service” buttons open an appointment page operated by VIP Shop Management, our shop management provider. Information you enter there is collected by that service to schedule your appointment and is shared with us. Their own privacy policy also applies.

3. How we use your information

• To schedule appointments, diagnose and repair your vehicle, and prepare estimates and invoices
• To contact you about your vehicle, approvals, pickup and payment
• To send service reminders, which you can ask us to stop at any time
• To handle warranty claims and keep service records
• To meet legal requirements, such as New York State inspection and repair record rules

4. Text messages and phone calls

If you give us your mobile number, we may call or text you about your appointment, your vehicle’s status, estimates and pickup. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to stop receiving texts or HELP for help, or call us at (718) 377-2323.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to serve you:

• With service providers that help us run the shop, such as our shop management and booking software, payment processors, and email and phone providers
• With parts suppliers or manufacturers when needed for a warranty claim
• With vehicle history services, such as CARFAX, which may receive service records about your vehicle through our shop management software
• When required by law, such as a subpoena or a request from a government agency, or to protect our rights and safety

6. How long we keep information

We keep customer and vehicle service records for as long as needed to serve you, honor warranties, and meet legal and tax recordkeeping requirements.

7. How we protect information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including limiting access to our staff and service providers who need it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Your choices

• You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you, except records we must keep by law.
• You can ask us to stop sending service reminders, emails or text messages at any time.
